Why is it when that sled sits for awhile it take like 20 pulls. Is there any adjustments to the carb to make things easier. The float level seems to be ok and when it is warm its ok
When you say "sits awhile," how long exactly do you mean? Do you find that once the sled is warmed up you must crack the throttle a bit to get it started back up?
overnight I was also told to turn the heated carbs turned off if not needed if that makes a diff. Also from a dead start there is a slight bog. Is it my air pilot screw. I have it at 1 1/4 turns out.
What sled are you talking about?
fuel evaporates from the carb bowls when a sled/bike/boat sits for an extended period of time. you have to fill the the bowl back up.
my theory anyways.

carbs could be dirty, could be filling up with fuel.
You have a two position choke, make sure it is working to its potential, (fully operational)......If carbs have not been cleaned do so, also turn your fuel screws out a 1/4 more....

Here is how I start my SX after sitting over night, same motor as your SXR, Full Choke, DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE. Its the kiss of death on this motor Pull the sled until it starts. Go immediately to half choke for a few seconds then off. Listen to the motor and if it starts to die give it a quick half choke. After about 10-15 seconds you should be good to leave the sled to idle on it's own. I've found if my SX wont start with this method then the pilots need to be cleaned. When the sled is warm crack the throttle about half way and pull it.Another quick note, I had to clean more pilots jets last year than ever and expect ot have to do it again this year. I don't know if it is something in the fuel quality today or what.

Heres the real question, what temps are you starting your sled at? At -30c it will take a lot more pulls than 0c.

How many turns are your mixture screws at right now?
