Everyone is telling me I won't be able to handle this sled ditch banging and I won't be able to turn it cuz it's to heavy. Yet one person that knows alot about sleds says I'll do fine just gotta get used to it. I don't know what to think just looking to see what other ppl have to say.

Go have fun, get stuck, dig it out and keep playing...plenty of power on the sled. Just need to know how to play with the throttle, something I am still learning.....Where are you riding...?

SX700 is an awesome sled!!! whole lot of power, just go at your own pace and have fun!!!
I would think anyone over the age of about 16 could ride a 700...... the question becomes can you handle to power? and can you control yourself enough to not ride above your ability!!!

Thanks maybe there just being mean cuz I'm a girl. N they say id never get a triple but just cuz it's heavy n tell me I can only trail ride but I ride dirt bike too so once I get cofertabke i think I can rip some shit up! All u need to do is figure ur ride out
In my opinion an sx 700 is a pretty nimble sled to handle. My buddies wife is about 5'4" and 110 pds and she handles a 2003 viper with a 136 really good out in the fields and ditches. That is a heavier sled than yours so I think you should do alright. I guess you'll find out when you take it out and try it...

The first time I rode one I got bucked so hard that it put me out for the day (no one told me you couldn't sit and ride fast in the rough until after)!
I rode and raced MX for years(13) and I have been sleding for almost 40 years. If you don't want to stand all day long, the sled you got it great!
Caution: SX700 get up and go faster than they stop! I have 144 picks on mine and still I can't believe how fast my sled accelates and I have found myself say "OH SHIT" I hope I can stop!

If its not fast enough there are tricks on here that will make it go like hell! Tech tricks are all over this sight for your SX, all you will have to do is ask.
Also set your suspension up for your weight and riding style. There are post on here about that.

They aren't that heavy really. I think they weight in close to the 1st gen REV platforms (with the 600) and they are plenty nible.

You'll love the 700sx, probably the lightest of the Yamahas in years... Plenty of power, and very nimble for a 14 year old sled.
She probably has a bigger cc sled than her "friends" assuming that they are "guys" and they may think that it is to powerful for her...
I think that they(her friends) are too afraid that ALL they are going to see is her tail light and snow flap.
In my opinion I love the sweet sound(chorus) of the song that my sled sings...

bottom line is that you adapt to what you ride after a while. You will do just fine on this sled, and they are not that heavy. take a few rides on some different terrain, trails, fields, ditchbanging and drift busting and you will get extrememly comfortable on the sled and know what you can and cannot do with it. many of us started out on older sleds with leaf spring suspension and narrow ski stances such as the old enticers, exciters and john deeres and such, and those sleds are a world away from what they are now, yet we did just fine on them. They rode like crap and were unstable at times, and now we have worked our way up to what we have now and are extremely confident with our sleds. Give it a few rides and you will love it. excellent motors.

700sx was one of the finest handling sleds ever built. Mine is still going strong at over 8000 miles. Light and very quick. My son prefers this sled over my Viper. Suspension is a bit short when the trails get rough. Corners like its on rails. A blast to ride.
