i have a 2002 sx viper er battery wont stay charged and at idle the speedo and will got out still have lights hi and low checked all the wires motor still runs good never tried hand wormer but the battery will only last a few hours pleas help

sounds like you have a bad battery.did you test the battery?

its the second one i put in and like i said it gos dead in a day and my speedo goes out unless i rev it up to 4000rpm
then you have a draw on the battery if the battery is in good shape and doesnt have a bad cell in it. should be easy to find with a digital voltmeter, check starter for draw first.
you do shut off the sled witha the key switch only right? because a er viper will drain the battery if you only use the kill switch.

Battery grounded properly? Check ground.. or start looking for a draw somewhere, but the gauges should still work with the battery low.. Possibly stator issue..
