I have a 97 Vmax 600 twin. I have owned this sled for three seasons and have not rode more than a mile. I got it blown up and in pieces. I have replaced the needle and seats and had the carbs acid dipped. My question is about the four tubes that come out of the sides of the carbs. My tubes are all connected together...is this the way they are suppose to be? The sled will start right up if it has set all night, but after about 20 or 30 seconds, she acts like its loading up and stalls. I noticed gas flowing through these lines. Any help would be appreciated.

Floats are stuck. Reclean carbs or try to tap on them with screwdriver handle. Those hoses are the overflows.

Thanks for the response! I will try this right away. I thought the overflow tubes were suppose to be open on one end. Mine are connected to each other, therefore not leaking any fluid out. Thanks again
maybe thats part of the problem. those are "vent tubes". if they are all hooked together with no exit, theres a vacuum issue. now if they are tied together via t fittings and such and still produce an exit to open air, then your issue lies with the floats or the needles and seat.

Thanks Snowdad4. I disconnected the tube that linked them together and I was able to give it the gas.
