Clutching Help

HI

I just bought a stock 2002 Viper (which pulls real hard) but it is over revving, on wot it goes right to 9000 and stays there. If it didn't have a tach I wouldn't change a thing.......it runs that good. So my question is do I just add weight, and if so which hole? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. The weights are 8ek (assuming stock spring??) stock secondary.

If the larger rivet doesn't help PM me. I had the same problem with mine when it was new. You might have a potential good runner. Most of the strong ones overrevved.
 
Mine does the same thing, 9100 at wot....would traction have anything to do w/ it cuz i really have none at the moment, and i have a brand new belt

Install 2 brand new 4.5 gram rivets & peen them over a 1 gram washer. should be dead nutz on.
 
I had the same problem, added the 4.5gr rivet and a washer and it still over revs to 8750. Loosened the secondary spring a hole, which helped but backshift suffered too much in deeper snow. If I went out and bought a set of adjustable supertip clutch weights all would be done, but I didn't want to screw around testing anymore, just wanted to ride, and the heavier rivet and washer is the cheapest "close" fix.
