Hi, what do I have to do to run premixed gas because mine has failed and it's set right but i can only run almost like 3/4 tank of gas with 1 tank of oil
The vmax twins doesn't have oil lubrication for the crankshaft bearings like the tripples right?
A new pump is like 300$ here (and I can't afford one right now) so I want to run premixed til i buy one.
What's that hose going into the "middle of the cylinders"? Is it some vacuum for the fuel pump or something?

i had this same problem with my 97 600 vmax sx!
everytime i was close to emptying a full tank of gas my oil light would come on and i have to keep an extra quart in my seat compartment.
I looked in the manual and adjusted the oil pump cable to the amount it said but a week later when i took it out on a lake i melted a piston
I turned the cable out further now and i havent had any problems other than it still sucks oil
My advice here is its probably not your fuel pump if its pumping TOO MUCH oil, adjust the oil pump cable to adjust the amount of flow, do it in small increments and keep checking the plugs after testing it...when they are a beige color thats good but if they are wet its too rich, and if they are white its too lean

Adjust cable
Check plugs
Replace pump if to much oil....check the classified section here...
I hate premix....better if you could make it right....

this guy is selling a pump for $25 would hurt to buy it since it so cheap and swap them out to see if there is a difference

If your using that much oil, your pump has failed. You can plug the oil line going to your fuel pump, and run 40:1 premix. For only $25 grab the pump and see how it works.
