This summer I bit the bullet and bought a kit. I know most of you say that the best kit is the one you make up yourself but I don` have alot of time for testing as I work year round evenings weekends etc. It consisted of a hauck g helix 89a-10 weights (cant remember exact weight off hand) and hauck black primary spring with a hauck silver secondary set at 3 and 3. Based on your years of testing and knowledge what do you clutching experts think of this setup.

Sounds decent and close to one of turk's setup in the tech pages. I think that silver spring is a little much in my opinion.
My sled and my brothers are both set up with the Hauck kits and we bring home trophies any time we race somewherer so he does something right. Also he is helpful in helping you set them up properly.

I find it funny how all the best SRX weights seem to all have been used in vmax-4's. Must have something to do with the similar sled weight, hp, and target RPM's.

I AGREE ON THE WEIGHTS, (8bu, 89a etc). BUT NOT ON THE WEIGHT. VMAX 4 IS HEAVEY. lol. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Well I still have the loaded 8dn-20s, www primary spring, stock 47 helix, stock red secondary spring and green spring. So with the little bit of time I do have and the clutch peices I am building up I'm sure i can come up with something that works. Any suggestions so far???
I've had two sleds (98 SRX 600 and 02 Viper)with Hauck's stock clutch kits and I found them both to be spot on. I'm a believer.
