97 mm 600 running poor

im having problems with my mm the number one cyl not running. ive cleaned the carbs to perfection, fresh gas, new plugs, 120psi on both sides. it runs good for about 10 min, then it just drops. ive had the carbs off 5 times to clean them. it seems like it isnt geting fuel to it. the jets are clean, every thing is in spec. please help me
 
Have you checked for spark on that cylinder when it cuts out? Possibly a bad stator - under the flywheel.
 
Stator is the first thing I thought!!!

you might also check the spark plug cap...... unscrew the cap, cut the end of the wire and screw the cap back on.....

sometimes its the simple stuff....... but not usually!!!!
 
I know you have had the carbs off a number of times...... but do you think the needle valve attached to the floats could be sticking once all the brass in the carbs get up to temp..... causing it to block gas flow just to that side???

just trying to brain storm......
 
Describe in full detail what is happening. Does it run good for ten minutes and then suddenly lose a cylinder? And then still has spark on the dead cylinder?
 
thats exactly what its doing.i just pulled the reeds out and on the cylinder thats cutting out there was a few peddles hanging open. i also opened the carbs, the jets were clean and the bowl was full of gas.
 
Are you out riding the sled when it happens or just idling? Having a slight gap in the reeds is normal.
