Hello - We have a 1995 VMAX 600 DX 2-UP. Yesterday my son ran it off the trial and hit an ice wall. Long story short, there is a lot of damage on the front right side. At the very least it needs a new hood, front shroud, grill, shock absorber and a ski. The right shock is now about a foot behind the left shock, so there is probably other damage as well.
I'm not an expert in this area so my question is: Do you think it would be worth repairing, or sell it as is and look for another machine. The engine is original and has around 4600 original miles on it. It runs great. The seat has been redone and looks like new. All else with the machine is good, but I'm afraid the cost of repairs (if I could even find used parts) might be too much.
And if it was only good for parts, any ball park figure on what it might be worth?
Thanks

personally sell or buy a donor sled to use for parts on that one.
You are looking at some money for the shock ski(s) hood grill and such probably minimum $600. Sled is wroth about 1000-1200.
It you part it out you should get quite a bit.

You wouldn't happen to be from Alberta, would you? Theres a sled on Edmonton Kijiji in good shape with a blown motor for sale. I think its a 96 600 if I can remember right. If you got something like that for the right price you could fix yours. Doesn't say a price though.

I'm not in Alberta. We live in the Ottawa area.
Thanks for the advice. I think I'll sell it for parts and look for another machine.
Hopefully another VMAX.
