phazer flatslides

anyone do it? thinking of swapping to flatslides on my 85 phazer.. thus far flatslides seem to be easier to tune than the stock butterfly carbs.. has a dg pipe and told with a pipe these motors run lean

Did it on a 91. Never lost a piston after that. I was ported and such too though.

Common swap. Rack carbs off a Vmax 600 are the common ones used.

was thinking of putting dial a jet on the stock carbs but am thinking this is the better route to go... any jetting starting points for sea level?

yup very simple to keep your oil injection, I just put on a set of 38mm flatslides from a vmax 600, running 150mj still might come down some and swapped the 52.5pj for a 47.5pj for now and will tune further.

thanks that was one thing i was thinking about that would kill my idea...jetting you are running for twin pipes? plan to ride in the same general area...

is there a how to on this? got a set of flatslide carbs now.. but not sure how oil injection would work and electrical connections needed, ( i think the ones i got are heated?? ) thanks
