i was just thinking the other day, what if you did the gasket mod but then also putting the same thickness of gaskets removed below your cylinders where they meet the crank. this way you could still run regular gas becuase your compression will not change. would this work/ be worth it? really intersted. Thanks

well you would create more compression because the cylinder will be closer to the head.

but the piston is still the same distance from the head. im no engine mechanic. i just heard an old guy talking about it

If you move the jug down the piston will go higher...means it will create more compression

Theoretically you would add compression because of the extra distance the piston travels on the upstroke with the exhaust port closed. Problem with lowering the jug is you also just lowered the intake and exhaust timing. Least thats how i see it.

no, i mean raising the jug by putting the same thickness(as the ones you remove) of gaskets under it

The only thing that would do is change your port timing . you would still have the same compression.
