the first time it has ever broke. at least it's just a speedo cable. And yes it is in my basement. how many of your wives let you do that?

Would probably tell her it's either her or the sled gets put down there. Then I would be living in the basement, which I wouldnt complain about!
 
nice looking sled. how many miles until it broke on you for the first time? dad had a 96 xt 500 that he had... I think like 13k miles on it and only traded it as he liked the proaction sleds and he was starting to lose compression in it. great sled though, and I think he misses the heck out of it!
 
2200 miles on it now but it was just a speedo cable. my hood went all the way to the ground when I opened it one day. When I closed it the cable was pinched. A few miles later it broke. never left me stranded though.
 
What size windshield is that? Do you know what brand it is? I was looking at going to a taller windshield on my '95 Vmax but haven't seen any pictures of what the taller windshields look like. Yours looks good and a bit more functional than the stock one.
 
think that is stock, just painted black. at least that what I remember my dads having for a profile
