EGT gauge setting ?

What is a good place to start when setting the alarms on a digatron. I have been told everything from 1150 to 1325. that seems like an awful wide range. Hate to spend all the money to get set up, and then burn down anyways. Thanks Maxdlx :beer: :Moon: :beer: :Moon:
 
Id put it at 1500! And I wont look back....what are buddies for :WayCool: Brent
 
Where or I should say how far from the head should the probes be. Thanks Maxdlx ps where should it be at an idle
 
EGT Probe Distance

Hey Paul; I insalled my probes at 3 1/4" from the cylinder on my 97 sx with Bender pipes. They seem to give accurate readings. My limit settings are at 1250 degrees. I would recommend installing a variflow so that you can adjust the temperature rather than having to back off on the throttle.
 
Dude, no matter how many mod's you put on that sled, no way in #$%&* are you going to keep up with our Sx500R! ;):D

If I can't keep up with the 500 sxr with your wife riding it, I will trade you the 700 even up for it. I heard snow, but also heard 0 to 5 below for christmas day. Good cold riding weather. Paul
 
lmao....I will let her know! She might kick both our #$%&* 's???? Never know. She might pull up to both of us stuck in a ditch with that 2" paddle and laugh!
