I have a '99 SX 600. I did the head gasket mod & silencer mods, added a Camo Predator 1.25" track, 20/40 gearing, 47.5 pilots, stock mains and put in your primary and secondary trail clutch set up from the Tech page that includes the 8-ca weights. I am not getting the back shift that I would like even at 90deg wrap on the secondray so I am wondering if I could try a different spring that may help. Engagement right now is at 4,300 rpm max rpm at full shift-out is 8,450 - 8,600 depending on the snow I am riding on. Top end is not my focus, accelerating off the corners and backshifting getting into the corners is more my concern for the tight, twisty woods trails I ride in WI. This setup worked well when I had the 1.00" Camo track and 96 studs down the middle but with the 1.25" it doesn't seem to backshift like I would like it to.
Any suggestions you could give would be very much appreciated.

i may be wrong but that motor should be runing 8300 rpm.i'm runing a white spring from EPI works GRAET for back shifting.it's for the older yamahas for 70 deg is 1-0 & for 80 deg is 2-0. 1-9 =40.2-9=50.3-9=60.the pines on spring are 180-deg thats why.i got one in my 780srx so does my son on hes 98 srx.i LIKE a LOT
