ok u guys tell me this keep eveything stock with a boss seat? will i feel any better afte a long ride with just a boss seat?
No..........Maybe the soft tissue in your butt,,,, but not your body...............
has anyone tried a revalve of the stock shocks or even the longer travel viper setup? Pioneer seems to say they csn really make a difference but who has tried it.
I have the viper rear end in my 02 srx and it does NOT corner as well as it should but the extra travel is nice on our rough trails.
Problem I think is iN the valving. It is way too stiff initially and then it will bottom on a larger bump.
HAS anyone tried valving?
I come from the motocross world where everyone gets revalved. Here, everyone just expects the sled to be perfect from new which is impossible.

I can say tat pioneer redid the shocks on both my viper and the wife's sxr, made a noticeable difference. once I was tired of that I went to the mono and wouldn't change it now. the small stutters about disappear and for groomed trails with that kind of bump it is amazing. wouldn't want to ditch bang it though. also, I felt it was better handling and might even sit a tad lower with the sit in. the acceleration was better as it has a lot better transfer without sacrificing bump capability, at least I didnt think it did. if memory serves me it was like a 15 lb difference according to ups as I shipped my old skid out in the same packaging that I got the mono in
I have a whole write up on how to install as well and I can get you a template to really make it easy. if I had the cash and could easily get more monos, they would be in my parents sleds and my wifes. for my riding they work great, and if anything breaks I can get the parts at the dealer pretty easy

'02SRX with the mono install (THANKS 03viperguy!) no noticable loss in top speed / easy transfer adjustment / bump absorption unreal / front end still rails... I'm happier than a pig in poop!!!

I am glad you like it northern, I am happy as can be with mine
mine was out of an 06 apex. only non stock thing was that it had a shock from an attak, so it is slightly stiffer than a regular short track mono. I love it though!
