srx carb swop

I have a set of 38 flatslide mikuni's off a exciter sx that i wanted to put on the 1980 srx 440. I was wondering if it would run better for trail use over the stock butterfly carbs. they seem to fit, just have to deal with the oil injection cable...any thoughts...good idea or bad???

they pop right in snug and tight. I couldbn't beleive they were the right spread apart for the srx cylinders...but ya they fit. Just not sure what to do with the injection cable that usually runs off the one original carb with the throttle lever. Might have to disconnect the injection, any idea what mix to run in the tank if I do this???
