just a small piece missing from the ring. the rings were not siezed. motor still ran,just no compression in the cylinder

Looks like my cylinder when the locating pin worked its way out, huge gouge in cylinder.

i have a similar problem. Does anyone know where i can buy a jug, piston, bearing and head for a good price?

Fuel cooling a piston is a layman's term and is a way of achieving the same result, although the understanding of the "cooling" method is extremely skewed. The additional fuel in the charge is a cooler burn. The fuel itself, as posted above, has no more of a cooling capacity then the atomized oil in the charge.
I agree to a certain point but one must remember that most all references to to "stoich" method (as in the Wiki article) are more related to 4 strokers , which have an extra couple'a strokes to cool between fires and the fact that oil splash helps too.
A 2 stroker is heavily dependant on cooling by fuel. Just my 2 pence worth
