I have the metric m-10 and need new hyfax. since the snow has melted away for now I figure it is a good time to do so. Question is. Can I use the hyfax from another skid for this (like a polaris M-10) or do I have to go through FAST. I would prefer to get local since I have a gift card to the local dealer.

Thanks Jason

Metric M-10 uses Profile 8 ski-doo slides. just slide a set of yamaha proaction slides on the rails they fit

There seems to be some confusing statements in here along with some correct ones.

metric rails are different than standard m10 rails
metric rails take mid 90s formula 3 slides
Pro action yamaha slides will fit if you remove the skid and remove about 1/32 from the bottom and from each side.
If you try to slide them on with out doing this, some will jamb. If you are lucky enought to find a loose set, they might make it around the corner, if not, your going to get them jambed on there.
I would recomend removing skid and grinding as that profile of slide is getting harder to find in stock. Yamaha slides are very common.

yes they will jam dry. but a little penetrating oil or any lube for that matter will let it make it around the bend with a little tap on the end.
(admittedly, i put them on with the suspension out)
