anyone know of any free or very cheap mods that will make my phazer sound a little louder/better instead of a little wimpy snowmobile and does anyone know what kind of free motor mods i could do to free up some horsepower? and does anyone know if they make rail exstensions for 89 phazer480 or does anyone make their own rail exstensions and be willing to sell them?

Not really any free mods for the phazer. A good single pipe is a nice investment (10-15 horse.) They are pretty resonable on ebay. Boyensen reeds are good for a couple horse on that motor. ( I think I have a set of used ones I'd sell you.) After that it starts to cost money to make them faster. Porting, a bit of compression, flatside carbs, and a pipe will put them at 80 to 90 depending on the dyno/operator.
Fits them all from 84-98 or when ever they went to the trailing arm sled. So yeah they are.
