Hey Guys. This past week I broke the rear skid rail on my 97 SX700.
The Rail cracked completely in two, and the rear section slid back about 2". Never seen anything like it. The sled was operating fine, I noticed this the following day after the snow and ice had melted from the skid.
I'd like to get this thing back on the snow ASAP. I am looking for the easiest/best upgrade for a reasonable cost and time investment. This is a spare sled, I don't want to spend a fortune, but I'd love a performance upgrade. The stock suspension just can't keep up with the modern long travel suspensions in the bumps. If their is a bolt in long travel upgrade, that woudl probably be the quickest solution. If there isn't, whats the next best option?
I am even open to the idea of buying a used stock skid to swap in to buy me time. My 07 MxZ caught fire 3 weeks ago, now this...just looking to be able to keep riding this season.
Opinions? What are my options? Lets hear them! Thanks!

if you're looking for direct bolt in a stock pro action is about your only option unless you want to spend big bucks on an M-10. otherwise other brand skids can be swapped in with a little bit of work and some good homework. do a search for skid swaps and you'll find a ton of useful info. polaris edge and IQ, artic cat, yamaha mono shock, ski-doo SC10III ect are all somewhat easy swaps to do but will require brackets to be made or built and new holes to be drilled in the tunnel.
I have an m10 for sale and also have a xtc skid
