As far as this oil is better than that or whatever, Ive heard it all.
Iv heard all the claims made by all the oil mfgs.
I'll stick with Yamalube. If Yamaha is willing to put their name on the oil it cant be a bad oil.
I will NEVER again use Amsoil. I used it in my '99 Ford Ranger. I did like they said, drop the filter and add a quart after 6 months. Well, when the year was up I only got 4 quarts of oil out of my engine and around that time I noticed a rattle that was developing. Well, I stopped using Amsoil after that. Using that oil turned my Ranger's engine from a very sweet running engine into a rattletrap that sounded like it was going to blow the valvecovers off at any moment.
For that reason, Amsoil can kiss my butt. I trust Yamaha, I dont trust Amsoil.
