I found a pocket measure that reads MM..... I want to measure the throttle cable on the sxr 700 to the 1-2 mm...where do I measure this? is it the bottom of the throttle or the side? I ask because I belive either the bottom or the side(im not by sled) has a little lip type thing, so where would I measure this small gap, bottom or side(side being parallel with your thumb).
And then last, to measure the gap in the oil cable I read a bunch on here, but let me see if this is correct, I pull apart the two protective sheaves or rubber on the cable, and then, do I at that point pull the cable tight till it stops and measure that freeplay? or should the cable be exposed when I remove the rubber? i ask this, because on mine I have pull on the cable to expose it and when I let go, the cable goes back in....(im using too much oil and want to get that 21mm gap)Im sorry about all these questions..thank you...Pete
