viper going threw gas

was wondering if any as slp pipes on there viper in lives in midwest and goes there the gas when riding. i put 50 miles on and that was the hole tank doesnt seem right to me.. when i am out west i can go 120 miles a tank. any ideas what the deal is
 
yea i understand that but wow that alot gas just for pipes should do better then what i am gettting
 
I've had SLP's on mine since new. If there's hardly any snow and I ride the trail, I get about 9mpg. If there's lots of powder and I hill climb and boon dock all day, I get about 6 mpg. Keep in mind that mine is a mountain, running a 144 track.
 
If you're running a short track in deep snow and spinning a lot, tripple pipes I could see it even though it sounds harsh. Burn a lot of fuel breaking trail.
 
The most I ever got with my viper was 90 miles bender 4x4 and bender can, That was riding trails and had 4 year old in front of me(pretty calm riding). I would think that 50 miles with tripple pipes seems not to bad.
 
When I had the CPR's on mine I got about half the distance on my odometer compared to stock. Of course it didn't get babied much either. On a warm day is when I really noticed it running pig rich. It would stink like gas at low speeds. It wouldn't hurt to try a Holtzman setup to keep your jetting on par with the given temperature of the day.
 
my sled is a mt sled and i got attack on it and it not running on the rich side i check plugs all the time and if i play hard it goes even fast i just rode it the other night and was easy on it and it sucked it down
 
I get on an average 10 to 11mpg with my slp viper 20# outside temp 1500' elevation. I lost around 3.5 miles per gallon with pipes. might go back to stock and ask journey man for his setup! gas is expensive for alittle more mid range pull.
