Should be installing these pipes in the next week or two when I get my weights and jets just have a couple of questions for people running this setup. Im gonna start with 150 mains and go from there should I move the needle to the next clip as well? The SLP website shows stock pilots and stock needle position. The clutching recommendation on the SLP site shows 8cr weights with 13.3mm rivet so I ordered 3 weights and 3 rivets as well as spares in assorted weights. So basically I install the new weights and rivets and it shows stock springs and helix so thats it then and hope im running 8800?
One more question is how do you like these pipes? Is the power gain noticable? How much fuel mileage am I going to lose?

SLP set up sheet is great!!!!! They rip pretty good on the wife's sled, I like them! I get 10-12 mpg usually. I have an older set with individual silencers so they are quite loud.... Again I like it!

Sounds good, did you mess with the needles and pilots then or just follow the setup sheet for clutching and jetting?

The set up sheet covers ALL carb and clutching settings, even needles and pilots

Your gonna wanna run a small steel rivet in the outer hole if you run an 8dn belt! also you wanna run close to 9000 rpm as posible to get max power outa of em! I run a 51/43 helix in mine and it rips. I'm also running 147.5's with the shelf out! 15000 miles on so far so good! don't touch the needles.
also I get a lil over 10 mpgyammy said:Your gonna wanna run a small steel rivet in the outer hole if you run an 8dn belt! also you wanna run close to 9000 rpm as posible to get max power outa of em! What kind of temps do you run in yammy? I am totally new to clutching when you say I need to run a small steel rivet in the outer hole is that in addition to the 13.3 mm inners? also what weights or mm would these be? Sorry for all the questions just not really sure if I have everything i need or do I need more rivets? So you run 147.5 all across, stock pilots and needle position. And for clutching your running stock springs with a 51/43 helix, are you running the 8cr weights that SLP recommends with 13.3mm rivet?
edit: Ok on the SLP site it shows pn 90261-06015 for the smaller rivets for the outside, I need 3 of these I guess?

I'm in michigan so temps. are anywhere between 0-35* f. If it gets down below that ..I don't ride, ha ha. seriously though I put the shelf back in when it gets real cold! I am running the 8cr's now, but if you want to beat that srx, Put in 8ca's and tune em to run at 9000 rpm!! also need a helix that is close to a 51/43. Transfer rods, is a must, reed spacers, thin head gasket, and a good studed track! otherwise you will be lookin at his tailight at the finish line!
ps. run 22/40 gearing and an 8ch or 89L belt...you do all these lil mods and you should take that srx!
