I had my sheave apart today and notice numbers on the inside where the spring goes into... you could put the spring in 1 2 3 or 4th hole...
Can someone enlighten me?

if its truly a 94, the helix has the 1-4 and the sheave will have an A, B, and C. combination of a number and a letter equals the degree of twist on the helix depending on the spring color. say for instance the stock setting for the 500 using the pink secondary spring would be B-2, or 60* of twist.
other springs were available. a green/yellow, white, a light blue/yellow, and possibly others. different springs gave different amounts of twist based on the CAB-1-4 setting.

Mine is a black spring... any idea what number and letter it should be?
even though the spring appears black, there should be a dab of paint on one of the windings of the spring, about halfway down.
the setting i listed earlier, B-2 and pink is the stock setting for the 94 vmax 500.
