my sxr 600 takes about 15 to 20 mins to warm up if i jump on it and try to go any sooner it bogs like crazy till it warms up then it runs fine. Is this normal.
sound's about right, i start mine then get suited up prolly 10 min, feel the heat exchanger if their warm i take off, usually ride pretty easy for the first 3-4 min then pull the trigger

My 96 xt is the same way. It will sit there and idle forever and sound great, however if I try to leave to soon, less than 5 minutes running to warm up, it will bog and practically die a couple of times going up the road until it gets up to temp, then it runs great.
Sounds like a carb cleaning may be in order. If its running lean it will need to be up to full temp before it will run properly

X2.......my 700 and 600 triples will accept throttle after 1 or 2 minutes without bogging. However I let them warm up longer than that before I go anywhere.Sounds like a carb cleaning may be in order. If its running lean it will need to be up to full temp before it will run properly

Mine will start and go just fine. However, I choose to let it warm up a bit before taking off. I then ride moderately for a while to loosen up all the rotating stuff.
well i guess it wouldnt hurt to tear the carbs down again.

yeah def should be able to get going after a few minutes. Also maybe getting too much oil.

Check carbs and oil pump settings...should be able to ride almost right away...still good idea to let warm up
