What helix angle and manufacturer? What secondary spring at what wrap? What primary spring?
This is the beauty of this forum...people either post the real info to help fellow members or keep quiet...no intentional BS!!!

well what can I say..was under the impression 50/40 was the helix that was good.Others say to low a finish go to a finish of 45,now it is a finish below 40.Looks like I'll be selling the 8bu's and go back with stock setup..at least it is consistent and rpm's are dead on and can hit more mph then with my 8bu's.I ran with a 49/45 today, dropped weight in the primary and rpm's are basically close. But with the extra 5 inches of snow here, there will be no speed runs going on now.Going back to the stock setup for weekend..betcha I pull more mph then the 8bu's this weekend.
hey blue just to let u know my sled die tonight ....rod bearing did seize ...so need a new crank cylinder and piston ....i need a 4 strokkkkkkkkkkke

oh well its a 98 ...did all remove the motor its all aparts now ...need a crank ...not sure if i can mix a lower crank case of a 2000 and up with a upper case of a 98 ...it was a question of time some other bearing are rusty and seem out of oil .......

I have done that already bluewho..I am basically just a tad off on over reving now that I removed the inner rivet..but am using a 49/45 helix also..not sure that is good.Turk told me that helix will do good in the cold weather.
I am re checking the PV's now, took them out and cleaned and will re-adjust them to specx.
I can't really test the 8bu10,s now since we have fresh snow cover and everything has to be packed down again..

mod, you can't take lower half of '00 case, and mix it w/upper '98 case. sorry to hear about your crank issues now.

blue, not sure who told ya to run finish angle of 45, as i don't recall anyone telling you that. tony said 37-40 for finish. if you have a bender 49/45, that's too steep for 8bu-10's from what i've seen. also, i have a bender 51/37 that i could sell i guess, if you wanted to try it w/8bu-10's, unless you just sell those weights to tony and then put your sled to stock and then JUST LEAVE IT ALONE. seems you're always the happiest w/stock setup, so why not just leave it then??

JOSH, I,LL TRADE YA SOMETHING FOR THAT 51-37. YOU STILL need A 48-42. 3:16 (yammie tony)
