i have a vintage yamaha question someone milled a cylinder as they had he wrong piston
the yamaha 75 to 78 dt mx 400 used a long piston and short rod guess was to increas low end
the it yz 400 used the 214 rod
the 214 rod is longer then the 498 the 214 was 1st used on the dt1 250
498 showed up on the mx250 73 and was used on all 250's from 74 to 81
was also used on dt400 and mx 400
i need to make a spacer to put back what some idiot milled off was trying to make shure on the exact length so if somebody has the book
this exact mnesurement can also be used to make a big bore kit and make the yz490 piston work in the yz it 400 79 and 80 it425
also use a 490 early piston in a it or yz 400 76 77 78 wich i have plenty of here
