Best skidframe for traction and ride????

I've ran a 136" m-10 for 7000+ miles and like the ride and its excellent durability, but I've got to thinking.I know it scrubs off a little top speed and that doesn't bother me much, but I can never get this thing to hook out of the hole at all.Is there a skid out there that will hook up good and still have fairly decent comfort?Whats you guys experience on this?I'm not a racer by any means, but enjoy performance oriented riding and ocassionally go to radar runs and it would be nice to lift the skis and go when I want to, but as many of ya know the m-10 isn't very good at that.I've thought of a edge, mono shock, iq and even sc-10 3, what do ya think, I'd like a little feedback here.
 
Ah, didn't think of that, I've also wondered if there would be a noticeable improvement in holeshot with a cobra track over my ripsaw.Is it true that the expert won't corner very well anybody know??
 
I've got the 4 in my 03 venture,,, man that thing is a joy to ride,, a cadillac with great transfer...
 
Like a lot of the guys here I put the monoshock in my viper. I have it setup right now so that it will pull the skies a couple inches off the snow and it hooks up awesome ( with the help of 144 studs) and gets wicked holeshots. As soon as the throttle is released the weight transfers to the skies but doesn't make the rear too light and out of control. Handles pretty much the same and I deffinitely did not loose any speed. Sits at stock height.
 
i cant say what the "best" skid would be but ive been very happy with the IQ skid i have. weight transfer is awesome and the ride is great, a zillion times better than the no-action.

Not sure how the IQ compares to the xtra10 but the xtra10 would get my vote.
 
i agree with the ski doo suspension when it comes to what you are looking for. great ride and probably the best out of the hole for a decent price. I have heard the expert x skid is i beast off the line, but havent had any personal experience with them, and are quite expensive. doo's arc/arm suspensions are very similar to the expert x and can be found at a good price. Anyone here have experience with those? that may be more what he is looking for
 
I have ran an Edge (121), SC10-III (136), and 2 ProAction (SRX/Viper 121)... my favorite for ride and traction/transfer was the Edge, I am finally getting the SC10 dialed in, it might be just as good...

I found the aluminum rails of the Edge skid didnt hold up very well, I egged the front shock hole out twice while running it. I have had an issue with the SC10 bending the front shock cross shaft, but have since fixed that with heavier springs. The SC10 has proved to be better rails than the Edge.

My next suspension to swap in will probably be a ZX2 unless I upgrade to a Nytro, I have high hopes for the stock suspension
 
Expert x hands down! Great ride, great transfer, very adjustable, very durable, and buying hyfax becomes a thing of the passed. If you run studs though watch your tension on the track, this skid can be run REALLY loose and not ratchet. I give mine 2 thumbs up and wouldnt trade it for anything!
