vmax clutch problem

im trying to put my budies sled to gether that he took apart with out me im not sure if the secodary is supose to slide back on the jack shaft or if he lost a shim or something.
 
yamaha made the secondary to slide back and forth on the jackshaft, that way the belt is always in line with the clutches, yes you should have a shim or big washer behind the secondary so the clutch doesn't ride on the bearing

Thank u for ur help on the clutch im having another problem with it when i rev it up then let go of the gas and its reving down its start missing and sits a 3000 rpm and doesnt sound right. If u tri to give it gas when thats happening it bogs. i have to let it rev down to idel before i can giv it gas again. it has been sitting for two years but i clean the carbs but maby something got suck up it did run get 4 about a half tank of gas then started doing the miss thanks
