88 Phazer setup HELP
Basically as the title says. I'm putting together a fairly mild Phazer, and am looking for some starting points as far as clutching and jetting go. Tryin to not be a stupid newbie.
Its going to be a mild engine, new bearings and pistons and whatnot, the transfer ports have been cleaned up, and am planning to mill the heads once I get the engine assembled and check for squish. Have a single PSI pipe for it. Looks like many are going to flatslides. Are they really worth it over these old butterfly mic's, or would some roundslides be ok?
I have some 7t drivers and a 136x2 track here, but am still not totally sure about skidframes. I have the chance to get either a 136 Phazer II skid or a non long travel thundercat skid that would need extensions. Right now, I'm leaning towards the 136" PZ skid, just for simplicity and I'm thinking it would be lighter. The fab work doesn't scare me at all, but 4 bolts would be nicer than measuring and drilling too. Opinions?
I'm planning to run the stock clutch for now, but I'm thinking it will need some tuning with the smaller drivers, more power and more track. Can anyone give me some ideas of where to start with this stock one? Is a p85 worth it?
Hopefully I didnt ask too many questions. Thanks for all your help.
