I noticed several SRX s for sale not far from me on craigslist. I went to look at 3 of them. I am not anal about my toys but I need them to be respectable. First one I looked at for 1200 was not worth 500 to me. Right proaction bar had been replaced and the tunnel was bent badly. Hood had a hole from the clutch . Plastic on both sides had hole in it. Clutch was gone. Seat was ripped. Second one I looked at had plastic covers on every thing. Seat was torn hyfax were shot and the hood and new windshield were scratched badly for 1800. Third one ran like crap and had more than normal wear for 1600. What should a nice one go for. KBB says 1800 for a perfect one. My sled is a 98 SX 700 with 5500 miles and other than paint worn of the tunnel from boots and some chipped paint on the suspension it looks great. I would not think it would be worth more than 1400 to 1600 and I would not trade for any of the others. Do people just beat the crap out of SRX s? ![Dunno :dunno: :dunno:](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

first off its direspectful to beat on an SRX or any Yammi for that matter, and those who do should be slapped, lol. In Canada they range from $2800 to $3800 for clean and maintained sleds that range anywhere from 8000km's to 15000kms, so Im guessing that around the $2000-$2500 is the norm for you guys???? You will not regret buying one I can tell ya that. good luck

I paid $2000.00 for my 2001 with just under 5000 miles on it. The sled is in beautiful shape and was maintained immaculately by the previous owner.

youre lucky to find an SRX around here for under $2000 unless its beat to hell and most of the ones ive seen arent. i bought mine used from a local dealer for $2600, mint condition with just over 4000 miles on it.
$2,200 for mine with 5,000 miles. Bought in Canada where I see them advertised upto $5,200.00.

if you don't want the headaches of pulled thru and adjusting and cleaning power valves..get a SX700..put on tripple pipes..port it and it will pull the SRX...and you have a long travel sled also.My stepson's 98xtcp with 1.,5 track is pretty quick and pulls me in the snow. Now he is adding triple pipes ,my SRX has to work overtime now to keep up.On ice I will get him,in loose snow he has me..

Paid $3700 for my 01 with 6500km. Im the second owner. I probably paid to much but its worth every penny to me. These sleds are getting harder to find in great shape and if you can find one buy it and take good care of it. Mint SRX's are always going to be a high demand used sled. Its crazy what some people are paying for vintage sleds right now.

SRX's
I have bought 6 SRX's in the past 3 years. 98-02 paid anywhers from $600 TO $1500. They were all running with none of them having more than 4000 miles. All of them needed carbs cleaned. A couple needed a trailing arm or a seat to make look good. I just picked up this 02 for $1500 with 2600 miles. This one I am keeping. I have since sold all the other ones. Here is a pic of my 02. The last 2 pic's are of the 01 I bought last year for $1000. Just needed a new center shock. These were all winter time buys not summer prices.

That's because it's not running as it's supposed to. I can do 95 mph on about 3/4 throttle.

I am up the street from you in Wisconsin, gbc1. I have been looking for 2 years for an additional SRX 700 and I can tell you that compared to machines on the east coast, the ones around here usually have a couple more thousand miles on them minimum, and cost at least $500 more on average.
I don't know why that is. Maybe you and I should drag a trailer to the east coast and come back with 3 or 4, sell 2 of them and pay for our trip.

I just bought a 99 SRX with 3400 miles on it for $1900 in Illinois. Cleaned carbs, replaced a rail, and was on my way.
Do yourself a favor, get Craigsnotification for the IPhone/Android or Crazedlist for the PC..allows you to simultaneously search Craigslist in all areas nearby you for any SRX to get an idea of the range of market prices. Put year, miles, and extras in a spreadsheet and the winners will stand out..then SNAP when you see something on the lower end of the range in good condition.

SRX's
It seems when you are looking for them you can't find a good deal. It is when you are not looking they seem to pop up. I found most mine just doing the usual surf on Craigslist here in the east.

When I was looking, before I had the money aside to buy, I would occasionally see a great deal, really undepriced...looking into it it was often listed by a woman..makes me thinks..part of a divorce settlement and looking to dump it?

that's how i got my sabercat cheap with 1,400 miles! except it was a man selling it and he was going through a divorce unloading his toys. put the sled and a powerstroke truck on craigslist and got rid of them both

I actually was shopping in IL/WI for a while and I bought a '98 Srx 700 for $1700 near Peoria last week. Almost mint condition w/ 4k miles.
