I have now decided I don't want to smoke cigs anymore.Just got my e-cig in the mail...no smoke,no nicotine,no harmful chemicals..just vapor and different flavors...Wish me luck because I need to get off the real cigs..for my health and for the money I will save from doing so.Now my wife has to cut back and quit also..tough for her since she has been doing it from young age..but she is not feeling good these days..she has had some heart issues..trying to control it with medication. Her heart races a million miles an hour..well used to and that scared the crap out of me 1 day...I called 911 because I thought she was having a heart attack..but it wasn't.My mom and sister have similar issues..with their heart to..racing..but under control.Only time I felt something close to that is when I once lost my temper so big time...my heart started to race and my chest was pounding..thought I was going down that time..that scared me also. But I have a slow beating heart beat doctors tell me..which is good...
anyways got to do it..how the hell am I gonna keep paying for parts for my sleds..lol

yep it is great..thinking of starting to build my Coffin soon in the shape of the SRX..When you open the hood,,there I'll be staring up with a grin on my face and the middle finger giving the salute...lol
OK Blue
Lets do some simple math..Cigs are @7$ a pack and at 1 pack a day x 1 month = About 200$ plus per month.
Take that 200 bucks and you got yourself a monthly payment + pocket change towards a newer 4 stroke Now ya REALLY Quit Smoking LOL.
All kidding aside good luck quitting !!

I used to buy 4 cartons a month..that is approx $312.00 x 12=$3744.00 a year...you get the idea.....My property taxes are about $3000..so that will be paid for and $744 is left for gas to ride.....

mind you that won't buy much gas anymore.Cost of fuel is sky rocketing..it is now $1.09/liter here..going to go to $1.20/liter in the next month or 2 and summer predictions is $1.50/liter.They talk about gas prices will go up and never return to what we've seen in the past. Those prices are for regular gas..premium maybe 5 to 9 cents more a liter.Actually there is talk gas prices will go to $20/gallon one day and not to many years from now..I would think snowmobiling would be a dead sport by that time.We in North America are paying low prices for gas compared to Eruopean countries..like $10/gallon their.I think Norway was around that mark a few years already....we have to pay the piper soon..no way out of it....imagine what the cost of food will be when transportation costs go up that much...I won't say much more..you figure the rest out,I am stocking up on food for the future slowly now...

Good luck Blue!
Luckily, my folks never smoked so it wasn't a habit I ever picked up.
A few friends do the e-cigs and I swear when they get together you'd think they were having a e-cig of the month club the way they discuss and rate all the different flavors. However, they have had good luck with them.

Good luck Blue. My big brother just told me he quit on the 1st of the month too. He's had too many close calls to be smokin' still. It's a habit I've never had, so i don't what it's like to deal with, but quitin' don't look like fun. But, here's to quitin'!!
good luck blue, i quit 2 yrs ago, hardest thing ive ever done, i tried the E cigarette didnt work for me, finally threw every lighter, ashtray any thing to do with smoking out, i read quiting smoking is harder than getting off heroin and i believe it, a friend once told me all you gotta do to quit is never light another one, like i said good luck,

I just did the same this month..3rd and final attempt I hope. I smoked a pack a day. I made the final pack last 4 days. When I was getting a feen I would pop a marlboro snus in my cheek to take the edge off. It worked. Part of the habit is the holding and puffing as well. Once you get past that in a few weeks its all good.

thanks for the encouragment guys..want to quit and need to quit.I am coming to the age where my father was and he had to go for a tripple bi pass...figured I would quit at the same age he had to...I don't have and issues really yet with the heart, but sure do get winded quickly when I have to dig a sled out of snow or going up a ton of stairs..

The only thing harder to quit is TY!
I've been a little over 12 years now, used Zyban to take the edge off the craving and it seemed to work. Couple that with the mindset of actually WANTING to quit and here I am, nicotine free. Keep at it! and it does get easier......

I started when I was 12 and I quit cold turkey 30 years later.
I could pick it up in a heart beat and still think about heading out on the water before daylight, setting lines, sipping my coffee and lighting up.
I rode with an open face years after everyone switched to full face just so I could finish my smoke.
Simple but deadly pleasure.
Good luck to you and your wife.
