Hey gang, I have found a track locally to replace my tired rubber on my mtn. vipe. It is from a Summit apprantly, and is clipped every other window. I am running stock drivers. I think it should work, but would appreciate any info you all may have.
Thanks, Rob
edit - this track is a 144 x 15 x 2, same as my stock track

You need to get the number off the track and find out what the pitch is, like Stephfg just mentioned. I'm thinking it will fit. Put the # and skidoo in google search and you should be able to find out. 2.52 is the correct size. Soc

He didnt know what the part number was - he couldnt find it, and I didn't ask him about the pitch. Will call him for the pitch. I thought Summits were 16", maybe the older ones were 15 ?
Do i have to run a 2.52 pitch ? Couldnt I run a 3" ? My sled is setup for offtrail and I don't care about trail performance.

that would be a 2.52 pitch track
Yes you have to run a 2.52 pitch track unless you change the drivers.

If it is 144 it is 2.52. Or measure the center to center on the lugs.

Thanks everyone !! I didn't know that the pitch effects the type of driver. I don't want to change drivers so I will make sure to measue the pitch and of course the width and lengths before I buy it. I am at work and havn't had time today to thoroughly search out info, thanks again for the quick replies.
