installing new belt... arrows?

my 2000 sxr 700 was having strange vibration and clunking noises at really slow speeds... Finally today I decided to see if it was the belt, so i installed the spare and low and behold it stopped making the vibration and the noises... very strange on how something so simple can cause so many troubles... sled would actully shake at slow speeds, drove me nuts the past couple weeks...anyways.... my question is, i noticed on the old belt there were arrows, so low and behold i looked at the new belt and there are arrows, but i put the belt with the arrows facing the rear of the sled. i only put around 2 miles on this new belt, should I change it? or are the arrows just simply there so if i remove the belt, i install it the exact same way??? or is the belt designed to have the arrows face foward? if not, then im just gonna leave the arrows facing the rear....thanks
 
I believe the arrows are for reference so it gets installed the same after you run it and then remove it!
 
i always intall them with the arrows pointing toward the front. thought that was why the arrows were there.

the old rule of thumb was to install the belts with the lettering facing you so you could read it, long before the arrows.

i say arrow points forward, same as reading the lettering.
 
should i turn it around?

or is the belt already shot? like i said, i only put on 1-2 miles on the belt, but i have the arrows pointed to the rear of the sled.....also, how much is a new yammy belt usually cost at the dealer?
