what is procedure to recalibrate TPS

apparently they are the same part number the R1 motorcycles had years back from 02 and up..and Yamaha recalled them on the bikes..but not on the sleds..why??

do I have the leads right from the tester daman......black=negative and
red=positive.Got the dial set at 20 ohm mark also.

I don't know but i haven't heard of to many going bad over the years posted here.


yes right make sure leads are on the righ wire(color),spec is 4-6 ohm @ 68 deg,make sure it's up to temp..

The EPA doesn't have the same control over off-road vehicles.

The TPS is an emmisions component.

I think it has to do with the diag. procedure which doesn't account for erratic signal output.

Not saying it's the sole reason or all TPS's are bad, but IMO Bob would not have found his issue if not for going beyond the procedure.
