Anyone ever have the exhaust pipe leak at the donut and was able to fix it without buying the $30 gasket? I tried high temp red permatex without success. Do the springs fatigue or are the gaskets usually the culprit? The gasket is intact but as you rev the motor it pushes the pipe off the flange at the header.

Springs do get weak over time and should be replaced if thought to be bad, there reasonable at your dealer.
weak or wrong springs will wear your gasket premature from the extra vibration/movement

Went up to my home town TRUE VALUE , and found out they have close to a hundred different 'tention' springs. Found a couple the right size and tention.

Try a search under "exhaust donuts". I think a member here gave an update for aftermarket ones found for SRX (although it was through mail order). I think AM Viper donuts were being found at some local parts stores. I think a search for the above should get you what you need.
