I did some searching and found a lot of dissenting info!! I'm thinking about buying a Tempaflow. Does anybody run one on their Redhead? Specifically a piped redhead? I've got a set of older CPRs.

I've had 1 on my 02 Viper for 10,000 miles. The Venture for 6,000. Bottom line, they work. Yes, you MUST wait for underhood temps to equalize after you stop for a break, I never punch to full throttle until I've travelled 1 or 2 miles. Consistently saw 16 mpg with the Viper and 18+ with the Venture. Both have stock exhaust. With pipes, you'l probably need a little distance before you can use full throttle. Just a guess on my part though. Good luck whatever you decide!

From what I've seen the install doesn't look too bad. I need to install a nipple onto one of the carbs thru the black cap on top of the carb, and then a couple holes in your airbox to run vacuum lines. I think the instructions on Holzman's website said about 1-1/2 hours.

My 01' SXR-700 has Hauck/CPR pipes. I have had my Tempaflow on there for years. I did loose a cyl with it on there but after reading the prior reply about letting the under-hood temps get equal... I did not do that. We stopped for a break, hit a resivoir and started busting through. I pinned it 500' after the re-start and BLIP lost the PTO side. She still got me off the ice and back to camp on two. I'll have to remember the "heat" issue. I bet that is what happened and I have been wondering all these years. I have been riding the 06' GT ever since and every so often go put 60+ miles on the SXR. That thing is a hoot to ride still. Doug
