Do you need a strong motor to pull 8Bu-00 loaded with 3.1 rivets I have them just wondering, I know about having to test test test but! just wondering Last I checked my comp was @ 130 psi across the board ;)! I'm now getting beat by everything around here even lost too a 99 670 ho last night :o|

CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE LOL!!!!!!!!! ;)! ;)!

how many miles on that 2000???Compression may be good...maybe blow by happening.I had blow by on about a little over 5000 miles. My compression now is 125 across..Those 8bu's will lug your motor is loaded..mine did last year.

Just under 5000 miles me too maybe in need for a rebuild too and port work from Don/mrviper

since your sled is going on 11years old already..just spend the money on a newer sled.Long track, gear down with 2 ' paddle track, long travel that SRX as your fun sled..I really am thinking of doing that.Make it snap up to 80 mph and that's it and enjoy it till it dies...

u should try to give uss more detail about rpm .................
with heelclicker setup I just took out my RPMS were spot on 4200 engagement 8100 Launch, 660ft mark 8400-8500 and holding for as long as I hold the fun flipper LOL! but they are still anywhere from 1 sled to 4 sled out in front of me, all this is with 21/40 gearing 50/38 dalton with silver secondary tried 60-70-and 80 wrap, in semi-hard pack snow ;)!

I'm trying 8bu-00 setup as follows

8bu-00 .8 mid, 4.5 tip
Maxx White with shim
green @80 with straight 47 and see what happens
21/40 gears
190 lbs driver, Me

i ran 8bu-00's in my bud's '00 stocker srx and had 3.1g in both holes, w/maxx white, no engagement shims, bender 50/40 helix, and green @80 and it would pull 8400 and climb to 8550.

GUYS I HAVE THEM IN MY 2000 SRX FOR ICE/ GRASS RACING. I BELIEVE I AM SWINGING 55 GRAMS. 8450 SPOT ON. 4.5 IN TIP DON,T SOUND RIGHT TO ME. 3:16 (yammie tony)

My rpms were @ launch was 81-8300 for the duration of the track 660ft I noticed that the rpms were a little bouncy between 81-8300 ;)!

they felt alot faster than the 8Bu-00 setup with a 50/38 dalton with the silver @ 80, but my RPMS were spot on with this setup they engage at 5500 @ launch 8100, @ 660ft 8500-8600 possibly 8700 a little bouncy towards the end of the track. I didn't have a chance too line up with anyone this is just seat of the pants feel and I like the setup that is listed up top better ;)!

My 8bu's are weighing in at 55g and that is .8 mid 4.5 tip. ;)!

I'm running these weight in the SRX right now and on my way to the drags down the road I'm running

8Bu-00 3.1 both holes
maxx white 1 shim
50/38 dalton
21/40 gears
1.75 backcountry track

rpms are just under 8400

will post results later on tonight

this track is awesome my SRX never plled the skis like it does now it like I have my picked track on WOW !!!!!!!!!!!

hope the SRX pulls it off

It is mild out today Andy..you for sure are going to lose rpm's.Don't know what your jetting is,but the guys with the EFI's will be more precise for today's temps..good luck with the SRX today...

placed 3rd in my pool for 700 stock I couldn't get around one Nytro I raced him 4 times in 2 classes 700, 800 but no money better luck next time 800 stock no luck.

there were a crap load of sleds there in all, just about 300 heats with running 2 lanes make for some crazy racing I didn't get home till 10:30 and some didn't get home till 3 am need alittle more tuning going to try my heelclickers next see how they run

I lost alot of my top end with this track, but I had my silver secondary spring wrapped to 80 with a 50/38 dalton. I should have tried the green @ 80 it was wet heavy snow but my holeshot were crazy traction just nothing at the end, going to try the green first at 80 see how it works then the heelclickers turns ;)!
