Per the tech pages if you have the newer ignition system (hotter sator/3d ignition/factory dual bulb) then you should have 3 blinks. By passing TORS? I have no idea as I have never left a sled bypassed.
2001 the sxr /mm 700cc models ONLY was the dual bulb headlight, the 500,600 models still has the single bulb system till it was updated in 2002.
The sxv viper never had a 700 redhead engine but they did use the viper chassis and put in the redhead 600 engine but changed the name to the sx venom.

Per my readings on the tech pages the 3 blinks are "all good". What this translates to is this. 3 flashes means circuit to water temp sensor is good. If there is any other error code found the highest number code will flash out first. So if you had code 6 (no idea) and code 4 (no idea) code 6 would flash, fix 6 then 4 would flash out, fix 4 then you should have 3. If your temp sensor is bad or unplugged it wont flash at all. I dont know if this is the only thing that would cause no flashes but this is where I would start.

No it would not unless it has 2001 electronics. 00 sxr last year for single bulb (no diagnostics, I know this as I own one) 01 sxr 700 first year for dual bulb/3d ignition/with diagnostics. I dont remeber the ohms resistance on the sensor but seen them on one of the threads you posted on. I would first make sure its plugged in.

well i found somthing scary, it looks that if i fallow the blue and red wire, i see it has been used to possably power a heatted helmet hook up....

if i unplug the sensor, take the connection and short it,( jump the gap) will the light come on the dash? so i can varifey the bulb and wiering is good?

I cant comfortably suggest you do that. Worse case scenario you smoke the CDI.

well its only a 2 wire plug, so either its momentary on or momentary off.

3rd option.....paritially on. May be designed for 12V in and only 8V back out. Those wires go back to CDI before the hit the bulb. I have no idea, might be fine, might be bad
