i've got myself a 1999 redheaded 600 triple SX.

got a nice deal on it with 5,500 miles, i've been riding it all season and i LOVE IT.

i installed a bender clutch kit bender weight transfer rods and 144 studs, i also did the reed stopper notch.

over all it runs AWESOME,i've now got 6,000 miles on it and i'd never know it.

this summer i planned on rebuilding it.

would it be worth it to convert it to a 700 (im tired of my 700 buddies)

meaning 700 parts from the crank up? or are the cranks different?

i'd also like to install a longer track rail extensions and a totally diffferent rear suspension (somethign better) and a bigger lug if at all possible.

i love these triples and i never want them to leave, hopefully everyone can help me with this one..

any input is appreciated! :) ride on!

Change the topend to get a 700. You will need to get into the clutches for the extra displacement and hp. Get a SC111, M10 or a Mono 136. Eight tooth drivers for a larger lug and a set of pipes to really pull away from your buddies. And last deep pockets to pull all the cash your gonna need to do all that. ;)!

cheaper just to pu an SRX...it is all there for the taking and cost less then changing yours to a 700..

yeah that makes sense too.. i'll have to do some looking around i guess.. whats normal compression for these?

acceptable compression
