Got my SRX issue solved and it was the TPS as sideshow Bob determined on his sled and it was also my issue. Thanks Bob..If you guys are experiencing SRX or even Viper performance issues..I would seriously check your TPS.I have left a link on my other thread on how to build a tester.Low end and mid range pull is back and seriously you have to hang on now.IT SCREAMS once again..and to imagine I had that issue all last year and thought it was something else like clutches,Pv's or engine needing a rebuild...
I enjoyed my ride today and keeping the front end down is my next issue with dialing down the transfer..I am lifting her up to 2 feet no problem now and at 50 mph I pin it and the ski's stay up until I let off. This was only with stock clutching today..

Now the 8bu10 set up will be going on next and do some testing before season ends.I know I will be able to drop the needle to 120 and even more now on ice for sure. Will radar it on a good day and video if I can.Maybe I should up the studs on the track at the same time..but will wait to see,I have 120 studs now on the track. The SRX is one totally different sled again and again all the congratulations goes to sideshowBob for his time and effort on this issue.Amazing what a few degrees more advanced timing will do for you.
Enough said..the rest is up to you guys to explore further..

Any chance a bad tps could cause my issue?? I have an 02 here that goes to 8500 when pinned and drops off to 7500-8000 and I have changed everything but the tps!!!

if your low and mid range are strong to the top..then that is another issue..but I would test and at least calibrate the TPS.Sounds like you have a clutching issue then.
My low and midrange were not really strong and as if motor was struggling to get to the top..that has all changed now big time..My SRX is strong now at any range in the throttle now..instant response thru out.It felt as if I was losing 1/3 the horsepower before..now it is all there and since the motor was rebuilt in November..it is really humming now..

Sheesh - I referenced Bob's post TWICE as a possible cause of your issue.

See Blue's links...

Sorry, I see it was only once. But almost two weeks ago.

Again, see Blue's links to SSB's detailed post.

center to center being right on didn't get me results like this I'll tell ya,but makes it more precise and the right belt tension does help..

I am glad its comeing together for you.If this was the only thing you did at the time and seen a big improvment than hell ya cary on!!

.

my clutch temps were totally cold as the snow after a few hard runs..amazing..that is all well then..,clutching has no issues now..I went thru it all..clutches,wire harness, rub thrus, new spark plug caps, new plugs, rebuilt motor, track rotates by itself on the stand..etc.Nothin improved the performance compared to that TPS I'll tell you..I LOVE this SRX now..now I will get my transfer set up for a good launch without raising the skis to much this time..mind you I love it when the skis are up 2 feet off the snow for a while..but doesn't get me launching quicker and straight..got new Arrow skis coming this week to solve my usi crap skis that wander all over the place at high speeds. To a point where I nearly could of flipped the sled a few times yesturday at 100 mph plus speeds.Skis went left.then right..then left and started to rock me over..was a close a few times..to dangerous for me..

Sound like the aligment is off more than the skis being the problem???I have to adjust mine today as i was haveing the same problem last ride.I hit a clump of ice last year and banged up the radios rods on one side so will go from there.

believe me ..its the crap ski's.The simmons on the SRX rides true and like on rails. The USI I feel I am in a bobsledding race..shifting from side to side and almost all around...

Yep srx never ran so strong as the way it did the other day..like day and night..like it was on NOS..totally differnt sled for sure. Now that is the SRX that I like and everyones talks about when they run an SRX that is strong. It is like I was pulling a Doo behind me all the time and someone finally cut the rope to it...

this is a SRX post here.if you need help with your twin setup..post it in the SX section where more guys with similar sleds can help.Weights in my SRX clutch don't come close to yours on the twin.but welcome here anyways... ;)! Even take a look in the tech section, may be some info there also...yeah it is a lot of fun dialing a sled in..but oince you are there or very close..it is worth all the cursing and frustrations.....lol
