Did anybody watch the " Chicago Code"?

ok if its that bad and all you want to do is talk about how shitty your neighbor hood is than WHY DONT YOU MOVE ??

im just asking, its like the guys at my job all bitch about how screwed up this country is and how bad it sucks and how great it is back home and then get pissed at me when i explain to them that they can buy a ONE WAY ticket back to poland.

Veterans park is around 79th and Halsted... I'm a mile north and about FOUR miles WEST... I'm about a mile and a half away from MIDWAY AIRPORT and only FOUR BLOCKS away from FORD CITY.. They used to build airplane engines for the war there !!! Now it's a big shopping center.. about a MILE square..

yes i'll admit chicago is a biiiiig city and thanks to our wonderful bafoon of a police chief (the dude has a girls name what does that tell you) crime is alittle high. but my daughter is 14 and will take the blue line train downtown with her friends and back. like i said (and nosboy said)this is a big city and there are places i wouldnt go at night. what did your daughters say about the night life ??

Because I love it here and I was born and rasied here and I HAVE to live here ( in Chicago).. It doesn't bother me too much,, I just HAVE TO BE AWARE and PREPARED!!!! Pay ATTENTION... Thats all you have to do ...
 
you could of used my big Roti when he was alive..he would tear anyone apart as soon as they would of threatened him..the trick was to come in the yard and be casual..if you even tried to raise you hand..he would be on top of you.Had a contractor doing work here.said he wanted to meet my Roti..my dog played him...wagging his little tail until the guy walked up to him and said "hi Geno(dogs name)..lucky dog was on a heavy linked chain..dog sprung at him tightening that chain good.The contractor stepped back trembling and said"your dog has to go when we are working here,otherwise we can't do any work for you".Did I mentioned my Roti had busted the chain and his heavy duty collar before..yes only a few times and had a few close calls..but the dog didn't attack because I yelled 'GENO..STOP"..he listened.

Keep the dogs starving and they will eat the criminals for lunch...lol

thats the key to living in any big city. but you are right, thats a tough area your in but your neighborhood and that show chicago code represent maybe 1/10 of the chicago neighborhoods.

cant carry in chicago , thats another part of the problem. only the bad guys are allowed to arm themselves. get caught with a piece and you go to jail (dont ask me how i know :D , and im not a bad guy).

I bought one Brand new ( 500 miles demo) from a guy in Janesville (DEALER) AND LIKED IT so much THAT i BOUGHT A USED ONE (2500 MILES) FROM A GUY IN New York State a few years ago !!!1 Nicest sleds that I've ever owned !!!

I'm approaching 50 years old and I was growing up in the 1970's... We have a "motto" that PUSSIES carry guns and we pride ourselves with having been in OVER 100 FISTFIGHTS and still being alive to tell about it... You wouldn't believe some of the little 13 year old 90 pound LITTLE KIDS ,, OPEN FIRING on their little "banger" buddies !!!! It SCARES the SHiT out of me !!!
 
I couldn't shoot a DEER if you gave me a thousand dollars!!! It's just NOT MY THING.. I see BAMBI laying DEAD in the back of a pickup truck and I think the guy who's driving the truck has some BIGTIME ISSUES !!!! I'm NOT a KILLER !!!! sorry....

Up until recently one couldn't own a handgun within the city limits.

This was struck down last summer in McDonald vs. Chicago when the SCOTUS determined (correctly I might add) that the city could not deprive it's subjects, er, um citizens the right of self defense using commonly used methods (i.e. hand guns).

I believe Ill. and Wisc. are the last two of 50 that still don't trust thier subjects to carry openly or concelled.

Sounds like you Chi-town boys are a generation behind. We too used to pride ourselves on the art of self defense without bullets when I was in grade school but by the time I reached highschool as a skinny white boy I knew better than to stare down a brother. Especially since I was no longer 3 blocks (Osborn high) from my crib having been bussed 6 miles away (Pershing).

I'd still be a Detroit resident if not for the mayor kicking all us folk out. Well that and being chased by a gat toteing road rager that didn't like what I called him after he ran a stop sign.

You can call me all the names you want but since I still drive through the city every day I'll be the one taking responsability for the welfare of my family and will be prepared for the moment I hope never happpens.

That one moment where seconds count but the law is minutes away.

Times have changed and not for the better.

The National Organization of Womyn used to make these statements and would question a hunter's manlyness. I've heard greenies make the same arguement about snowmobilers and thier loud, vibrating, smoking hunk of testosterone. The same has been said about drag racers.

Is any of it really necassary?

Or perhaps you're a vegatarian or vegan?
 
It says in the Ten commandments "Thou shall not kill"... What more do you need??? Maybe a GOD in your life????
