Secondary Clutch loose?

The clutch on my 99 sx 600 seems like it is loose. It slides back and fourth on the jack shaft it has maybe an 1/8th inch of sliding movement on the shaft. Is this normal?

i think that is normal,both my xt and my sx are that way,it's for belt/clucth alignment

Yes, it is normal. It lets the clutch self align itself.
