Tried searching and looking around, however I have been unable to figure this out.
I just bought a 01 sx500r / sxr500 ?? Whatever it is actually called.

What is the difference between a SX , a SXR ,and a SRX ?

Are the chassis the same between the 500 , 600 , and 700 SXR ,SRX , SX ?

Is there a aftermarket muffler available for the 500 or a mod for the stock can?

Sx has standard 8.5" travel suspension.
SXR has longet travel, like 11.5"
Both share same chassis, different suspensions.
SRX is unlike either, low suspension, tripple pipes, powervelves, different belly & hood.
You should be able to find a can for your 500, I might be able to get one for you actually. Local parts guy just got a 2000 sx 500, I'll see if stock can or not.
