best single pipe for viper

Any preferences on a good or should I say the best single pipe for the viper? I bought a 2002 viper brand new and its been an awesome sled. Anyway the pipe is starting to rust out and crack at the flange. Would love to put triples on but don't want to lose the great fuel mileage.

The stock one. If yours is rusted out you can find plenty of good used ones from parted out Vipers on ebay. In fact there are tons of Vipers parts out there. This is the first Yamaha sled I have owned that reminds me of owning a Polaris......so many of them out there that tons of parts exist.

Bender was the only one that had an aftermerket single pipe for the Viper. There are very few people on here (and this is where you will find loads of viper owners) that have ran the Bender single. Over the years with lots of feedback the consensus is that altering the stock single exhaust on a Viper will result in lost performance. Triple pipes are the only way to increase power but yes they lose MPG and can be finicky to temp changes.
 
thanks stein . If properly tuned and clutched what do you think the fuel mileage would be compared to stock. Obviously there are a lot of variables. Just lookin for a round about. Wouldn't mind the extra power but don't want my fuel mileage to go out the window.
 
After the install of the pipe my rpm,s jummped up 500.Worked on the heelclickers to get it back down to 8500. Seemed to work real well with the trail porting and fuel mileage did not suffer. The hp gain must of been there due to the rpm change from just changing the pipe. Kept the stock can.
Bender claims 4hp and 4 pounds weight loss as well.

x2 I like the sound, fuel milage increase, and slight rpm increase, and I don't sound like every other viper out there.

Are you also using the stock silencer with the 4 x 4 pipe?

Also.....are both of yours the black painted model or the ceramic model?
