Bender pipe install question SXR 700 Sorry if wrong post area

Bought a used set of Bender triple pipes, I am going to put them on this weekend. I have 150 mains, but no one around has 52.5 pilots, and they would not come in for a week, and heading up north next week. I will be running the stock 45 pilots, is this ok? Also they call for Neele clips to be Pos 3, 4, 3 Plastic washer below or above? Same on all three or just Center? Thank you for any help...
 
After alot of tuning, I have found the 150 mains, needles in the stock position and 47.5 pilot jets is the way to go. The 52.5's are way too big! I think I still have a set here from my original set up. I was chasing a problem for a long time that I thought was clutching, like it wouldn't back shift. Ended up being the pilot jets were way too fat.

You could get away with the 45's if you open the fuel screws up to about 2-3/4 turns I am at almost 1-7/8 with the 47.5's so this would get you close. Are you changing your clutching too?
 
Honestly, I have weights just in case it over revs, but I am not planning on changing them. I talked to couple of people who thought that I should be ok with the clutching as is, what do think?
 
Here is a great set up from Turk. It is on the tech page also:

97-99 SX700 w/Bender pipes
51/43 Helix, 89-L weights w/2.4g rivets, stock springs, and stock gearing. Jetting: 150 mains.

2000-01 SX700R
14.5 mm rollers in addition to above per trail or racing

I am sure you will have to do some clutching to get the rpms close.
 
I really appreciate all of your help. When you set yours up, did you put the plastic washers above or below the slides? Or just on the center one that you raised to the 4th position? Or did you just raise it and leave everthing the way it was? I am not sure if it really matters or not...
 
I left the needles and washers in the stock position if I remember right.
I am out in the shop now, let me look for my notes.
 
My buddy is a guru with these carbs, and he questioned moving the center to the fourth position. He thinks that it would be fine to leave them all in the 3rd. I was just going to follow what Bender said.
 
Just looked and I did put the needles back to the stock position.

47.5 pilots.

needle ( stock ) in middle, all, & washers under clip.

150 mains w/ regular gas. if you use premium 147.5's are safe.

fuel screw 1.5 turns out.

the above is for stock motor w/ stock air box & unmolested head gasket.
