Hello everyone,
I am going to replace my carbides this year, the last set i had got were 4", since then I have added 96 studs to my sled, I was wondering if I should go up to 6" carbides now or stick with 4. I'm riding a '99 SX 700, I do mostly trial riding. Thanks

I'd recommend a type 2 6" Bergstrom with a set of skisavers. The bars last forever, and the skisavers give those nasty stock skis some bit in the corners. Like 600% more bite than stock steel skis! Something like that...

Crap! Reread your post...Skisavers will give only 200% more bit with SX plastic skis, lol. www.bergstromskegs.com

Thanks, I really appreciate it, I was just wondering what ski savers do you run, the 1/4" or the 3/8"?

On my C&A's, I've got the 1/4" right now, I've tested them all. With the thicker savers, you'll need to make sure they are the same width as the keel. C&A's have a narrower keel than stock Yami skis, and I experienced splitting in low snow conditions (first ride '01)
I think Scott makes them for the width of your keel now, ask to be sure. Did you tell him John Guest sent ya?hehe
