so i took the carbs of my sx700 and the fuel kept running out of the lines? on my srx that doesn't happen... wondering if its normal to have the fuel running out..
thanks
thanks
Im not sure why that would happen as I dont know whats inside of those pumps. Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in on the situation. Maybe bad diaphrams or something inside there?98srx700rider said:Yeah the lines that come out of the pump..they run gas out as soon as i take them off the carbs..not just alittle fuel like non stop running.. I changed out pumps with another one i had around.. Im just wondering why it started to do that
terret725 said:if that tank is full some time it will do it. or if your vent line is kinked or pluged. happned to me. it was like a super soaker when i took the fuel line off the carb. the tank was pressurized because last time i filled it up was like 4 out and when i was working on the carbs was like 36. the air inside expanded and presurized the tank.

thats cool .. thanksSilver Bullet said:You don't have to crimp them just put a golf tee in each one that will plug it an the fuel won't leak out while you have the carbs removed. I also use this when dissasembling engine and I use different color golf tees of the different lines and where they go. It works pretty slick.
