gas prices are climbing to much now,it is time to park the sleds soon..can't afford to run them now.Our regular gas is now $1.15/liter= $5.22 a gallon..but premium is way up. I bought for $1.17/liter yesterday..now it should be around $1.27/liter= $5.76...I bought 7 jerry cans of fuel yesterday for about $207..way to much for me..can't pay that anymore to ride a sled..good season is almost over.Talk here it will be going to $1.30/liter in a few months and possibly to $1.50 a liter by summer.NOW this is NUTS!! That will be nearly $7/gallon here.The government here don't care about us..there is price gouging going on here for sure.Someone is getting rich over this and the consumer loses big time.One fellow on the local radio station said that he was in Pembina ND and the price was $3.10 gallon and jumped to $3.20 over night.That is a 10 cent a gallon increase..but here it went up 10 cents a liter and that is 45 cents a gallon..he said something don't smell good about that and we are being gouged BIG TIME...
Also heard that once these prices go up that they will not go down anymore.that we will have to get use to it.Well if we go into next season with prices $7/gallon or more..guess riding a sled won't be important anymore.And it cost to much $$ to buy a 4 stroke to try to get more miles/gallon when riding..WOW love the world we live in now..

we've been over $1.20/litre here for a while, now it's at $1.30 for regular and probably $1.42 for supreme. Snowmobiling has never been a cheap sport. At least I found 4 mpg in my sled, so even with the higher price, I'm still ahead for the moment :-)
 
I imagine transportation costs is part of why your prices are higher in Toronto..but it is not good for the economy...prices will jump for every product in the stores..cost of delivery..
 
Ethanol free gas (89 octane) running $3.49 a gallon, premium (97 octane w/ethanol) is running a lil cheaper. Not cheap by any means, My own little version of "therapy". While on the sled none of my "real world" problems seem to matter!

I've heard that it won't actually hit 5 dollars a gallon. I sure hope not at least.

I drive 70 miles a day round trip to get to work, so I can't write it off. Here's where I wish my car had at least the 6 speed ad not the 5 speed. Heck Since I'm asking, why not have the new 8 speed they are putting in the new Audis?

i DVR'd a nightline special on gas prices last night. Anyone watch it ?
 
UPDATE:

Gas prices just went up AGAIN!!!! These f-ers really don't care about us I see.
It is now $1.219/liter of regular fuel here. That is now at $5.53 a friggin gallon..and supposed to go higher yet by summer time..what BS!!!!
 
$3.79 a gallon here for the 87 octane. Looks like the 4 stroke Vector will be the sled to take the 97 600 twin's place should double my mileage.
 
gas is sure cheap in the US compared to us..but we pay a lot in tax on the gas.It is supposed to be going up to around the $7/gallon mark by mid summer I hear.We are being taken hostage when it comes to gas.And there is a lot of oil in the world yet.Alberta has a lot.North Alaska has enough for the next 200 years..but they won't tap into it until world price a barrel climbs to about $200..then they will open her up and make a killing and drop the middle east for good.This was in the plan for the last 40 years ago..a big set up to the Americans to make a great profit.Looks like they will succeed in their evil ways...power hungry and greed all the way.
